Walnuts in Fudge

These sweet fudge coated walnuts go great on top of a batch of cupcakes, and whole or crushed over a dessert.

Ingredients

  • 50 g butter
  • 100 g sugar
  • 1tsp vanilla
  • Walnuts (Whole or crushed, depending on what you are using the fudge for)

Method

  • Cook 50g butter, 100g sugar and 1tsp vanilla in a saucepan until all sugar is dissolved
  • Bring to the boil until it becomes a golden colour
  • Add 1/2 cup of water and reduce down to a creamy consistency
  • Add walnuts and make sure they are coated in the mixture
  • Pour into a baking dish with baking paper on it.
  • Make sure the walnuts are a distance apart so they can be broken apart cleanly
