Totally Nuts
Ok so I admit it, there's really not a great deal of 'healthy' to this recipe - but it does have lots of nuts which give us good oils and some other vitamins and stuff. But gee it's tasty...
Ingredients
- 1 x frozen banana
- 2 tablespoons of Sweet William (dairy and gluten free nutella variation but unfortunately it also has no nuts, which kinda defeats the purpose but it is very tasty)
- 2 tablespoons of peanut butter
- 50 grams of hazelnuts
- 50 grams of almonds
- 50 grams of cashews
- 1 x teaspoon of wheat germ or psyllium husk (gluten free)
- 1 x scoop of vanilla soy icecream
- 250ml vanilla soy milk
- 1 x teaspoon of vanilla essence
Method
- Add all raw nuts to the blender and process on high for 5 minutes until a smooth paste forms. You may like to add the peanut butter too to give some moisture.
- Add the rest of the ingredients and process on high for 5 minutes
- Ensure all nuts are completely pureed, if they are not you should strain it to avoid choking on nuts
Serve
- Rub some extra chocolate spread around the inside of a tall glass
- Scoop some ice-cream and sprinkle some crushed nuts on top and serve with a spoon for a delicious dessert treat
