Syllabub Cream

This ancient English dairy dish can be eated simply layered in a tall glass with fruit or can be used to make a trifle, dress a pavlova or on top of a hot coffee perhaps?

INGREDIENTS

 

  • 1 Pint cream
  • 1 ½ pint cold Riesling
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • ½ cup white sugar
  • Pinch of nutmeg

 

METHOD

  1. Beat all together till thick
  2. In tall glass alternate layers of cream with your choice of fresh fruit. Strawberries are yum!
