Shepherds Pie
Drew introduced me to the idea of using relish in a shepherds pie - I let him cook for me occasionally and this is one of his specialties.
Ingredients
- 500 grams lamb mince
- 1 x onion (diced)
- 1 jar smokin stu's tomato relish (or your favourite brand)
- 3 cloves garlic
- Frozen Peas
Mashed Potato
- 2 large potatoes
- 1 cup grated cheese
- 25 grams of butter
- Salt & pepper
- 1/4 cup milk
Method
- Brown onion, mince and garlic in a pan
- Add relish
- Prepare mash potato by boiling potatoes and mashing with butter, cheese, salt, pepper and milk
- Put mince in a baking dish and spread mash over the top using a fork to create a rough texture
In this variation we have used some mashed sweet potato on the bottom
