Savoury Rice

This is a delicious rice dish that can be adapted to your own taste.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup rice
  • 3 cups cold water
  • your choice of vegetables eg; carrot, eggplant, onion, pumpkin, celery, sweet potato, zuccini, capsicum, cauliflower, broccoli

Method

  • finely dice all vegetables and saute in a pan till tender
  • Cook rice in  water for 18 minutes in a microwave
  • Add rice to vegetables and carefully mix with a fork
  • Serve immediately
  • Non vegetarians can enjoy this dish as a side with any kind of meat
