Hildas Ginger Biscuits
These would have to be one of my favourite biscuits, my great Aunty Hilda was still baking well into her 90's. Unless you are going to make lots of batches its more economical to buy the condensed milk in the tube and not the tin.
Ingredients
- 4 ozs butter
- 3/4 cup castor sugar
- 1 cup S.R.flour
- 1 tablespoon condensed milk
- few drops vanilla essence
- handful chopped sugared ginger
- handful cornflakes
Method
- Cream butter, sugar and vanilla till light and fluffy
- Add condensed milk, mix well
- Stir in flour, ginger and crushed cornflakes
- Small spoonfuls onto greased trays
- Moderate oven 10 15 minutes or till golden
