Easy Choc Nut Slice

We can make this chocolate slice with our eyes close after several thousand batches served as a petit four with coffee in our family restaurant. It is a basic recipe and a great way to involve kids in the kitchen.  You can take out some of the nuts and add cherries or ginger.

Ingredients

  • 300 grams dark chocolate
  • 50 grams white chocolate
  • ¾ cup of sweetened condensed milk
  • ½ cup toasted almonds
  • ½ cup pecans, walnuts or cashews
  • ½ cup pistachio
  • 1 tablespoon brandy or whisky

Method

  • Line a bar pan with foil.
  • Sprinkle finely chopped white chocolate into prepared pan (we often skip this step as it doesn't always stick)
  • Combine dark chocolate, milk, nuts and brandy in bowl, mix well, spread evenly over white chocolate.
  • Cover, refrigerate several hours or overnight.
  • Slice thinly, refrigerate again before serving
