Dairy Free Iced Chocolate

My sister and I have always enjoyed an iced-chocolate when going to cafes because neither of us drink coffee. This is a dairy free substitute of our favourite cafe beverage.

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons of rich chocolate fudge syrup (or mix drinking chocolate or cocoa, melted chocolate, vanilla essence, margarine/dairy free butter so it is a thick, creamy consistency)
  • 250ml soy or rice milk
  • 1 x scoop of chocolate soy ice-cream

Method

  • Pour chocolate syrup into a tall glass and roll it around so the inside of the glass is coated with chocolate
  • Add scoop of chocolate ice-cream to the glass
  • Fill with milk, careful not to wash the mixture from the sides of the glass
  • Top with another small scoop of ice-cream and grated chocolate

Serve

  • With a mint chocolate stick and optional dairy free cream on top
  • Sprinkled with grated chocolate on top
  • With a long handled spoon for easy eating
