Butterscotch Tart

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 tablespoon custard powder
  • ½ cup lightly packed brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 1 teaspoon vinegar
  • on 8 inch (20cm) cooked pieshell

METHOD

  1. Blend a little evaporated milk with the custard powder to make a smooth paste.
  2. Add remaining evaporated milk and other ingredients.
  3. Bring to the boil, stirring constantly over medium heat.
  4. Pour into cooked pie shell.
  5. Chill and serve with whipped cream.
