Brown Sugar Biscuits

A slight variation of a plain biscuit just by using brown sugar instead of white

Ingredients

  • 4ozs butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg beaten
  • dash vanilla essence
  • 2 cups SR flour
  • castor sugar for rolling

Method

  • Cream butter till light and fluffy, add essence
  • add egg and beat well
  • add flour and mix
  • roll into small balls and roll in sugar
  • place on well greased tray and flatten slightly with a fork
  • bake in moderate oven approx 12 minutes
  • cool on racks
