Basic Kitchen Equipment
How much Kitchen equipment you need can depend on how much cooking you do. I have compiled this list of basics that should see you through most cooking situations, you can add to it as you need to.
Equipment
- 6 stainless bowls of varying sizes
- 2 wooden spoons
- 2 spatulas
- set measuring cups
- set measuring spoons
- 2 whisks, 1 large, 1 small
- 1 set scales in metric and imperial
- 3 cake cooling racks
- 1 measuring jug with imperial and metric
- good set of knives ( I use Furi)
- 1 round 20cm tin
- 1 slab/lamington tin
- 1 loaf tin
- 1 muffin tin
- 2 nut roll tins ( or use baked bean tins )
- 1 pie plate for pastry dishes
- couple of microwave bowls for melting butter etc
- saucepans
- slow cooker or large pot
- food processer is handy but not essential
- a hand held blender is also useful
