Banana and Honey Breakfast Smoothie
This is a smoothie I used to make all the time as a teenager when I needed a full meal before playing sport or going for a run. Some people find the raw egg concept a bit gross, but if you can get past this it is a delicious and healthy smoothie made into a dairy free version below.
Ingredients
- 2 x frozen bananas
- 1 x raw egg
- 1 x cup of vanilla soy millk
- 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspooon of nutmeg
- 2 x teaspoons of honey
- 1 x scoop of vanilla or plain soy ice-cream
Method
- Add milk, bananas, ice-cream, honey, nutmeg and cinnamon to a powerful blender or food processor
- Blend for 3 minutes on high
- Add egg, blend for 30 seconds on low
Serve
- In a tall glass with a straw, topped with some nutmeg or cinnamon
